Seeking Joy In Self-Reflection- June 8th
Hello everyone! I’m so thankful for all of you, and that you’re part of our JAM community! Tomorrow is our last JAM day of the season, so please check back for an important video and information about what’s coming up. In the meantime, let’s close out today talking about Joy. Where happiness is fleeting, joy is deeply rooted, it’s the feeling of delight and satisfaction in the journey, even when the destination is unclear. My own journey to joy has been rocky, but something that I’ve continued to come back to is that even though I may struggle with finding joy, the Lord continually finds joy in ME and He continually finds joy in YOU (Zephaniah 3:17).
Last week I revisited a verse that I shared with our Leadership Team last Fall, and it felt so applicable to all of us in this season, I wanted to share it here too- You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other. (John 15:16-17). The Lord loves you, He takes great delight in you, and He’s cheering you on. As we end our year tomorrow, my prayer is that you can keep finding time to rest, find time for community, and let go of the “shoulds” that can weigh us down. I’ll see you back here tomorrow morning!
