Run for Your Life 5K/To End Addiction
On December 23, 2014, Ryan lost his battle to win his fight over drug addiction. His sister Cheryl, wanting to remove the stigma of addiction, brought up the idea to have a fun run in memory of Ryan…this race will be to run or walk in memory of those who have lost their lives or who are living with addictions. By raising an awareness and removing the stigma, together we can find hope and help for the addict, for the family, and for the community!
Eight years ago, wanting so much for Ryan to overcome, Ryan’s mom Linda, went through the doors of Celebrate Recovery at Calvary Community Church in Sumner, WA, to find support and help for Ryan. Not long after did she discover that she also needed help. “The love and support that has been received from Celebrate Recovery during this overwhelming time has been my life-line!”
Funds raised from this race will go to the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at Calvary Community Church, in Sumner, Washington, a powerful, safe, positive ally for those who long to break free from life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups. Celebrate Recovery believes that our Higher Power, Jesus Christ, is at the center and forefront of working to overcome our struggles.
“I hope that you will join my Daughter Cheryl and I on Saturday, July 20th as we all walk and run together to end addiction and help those we love and care about!”
Grateful Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ!
